It's time to start making predictions. We started our first heckling drills yesterday, and frankly, we have a lot of work to do. Here's your chance to get your own in. Antagonism is encouraged and expected.

Who's going to finish highest at Gandy? I've already ranked them how I see it.

Berzerkapiggy
Porca
The Jets
One Mississippi
The Coltrane
Swizzle
Bug On Jugular
Dirty XXX

(I deleted the boring teams that I didn't care about, including the two top teams that will be playing in finals.)

Stick Good Times in there somewhere....though GT might be a combo team with some Bend folks, which could create some weird chemistry. I predict somewhere in the Porca-Jets range.

I like Charlie Sheen...Mostly due to three movies, Men at Work, Platoon, and Cadence. Now he has shown himself to be an open minded person that ask the important questions.
"It seems to me like 19 amateurs with boxcutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75 percent of their targets, that feels like a conspiracy theory. It raises a lot of questions," Sheen said. "A couple of years ago, it was severely unpopular to talk about any of this. It feels like from the people I talk to, and the research I've done and around my circles, it feels like the worm is turning."

I like Charlie Sheen in The Rookie.
and Navy Seals.

He was also awesome in Red Dawn and Ferris Bueller.

But I don't think that an administration who has proven themselves totally incompetent at everything they have ever tried could miraculously pull off the greatest hoax in World history.

Watch the video...the tip of the iceberg. They are heavy handed, but not incompetent. Everything that goes "wrong" fits with the overall agenda: Privatization of anything and everything at home and abroad and drastic increases in defense spending. They have been proficient at deflecting any criticism and will retain power by some individuals critisizing the current personel which will lead to a symbolic change...this includes the democratic party. See the situation for what it is...they get everything they want and there really isn't a damn thing anybody can or will do about it. It is short-sighted to JUST see the humor in the idiocy...look past trees and see the forest.

Charlie Sheen aside, I have to agree with Kyle that is seems highly unlikely the administration could pull this off. I love the idea that they are pure evil and could one day get caught for this, but I just can't believe they would take this big a risk, especially at a time when Bush's ratings were still somewhat ok.

I mean, purpously killing innocent American voters in this information age would take a lot of balls. To conceal such a crime would be extremely difficult. And a discovery of this would undermine not only the current administration but undoubtedly the entire politcal system if people found out they couldn't trust their own government. Reminds me of V for Vendetta, which is not as good as people say it is.

it's a good thing people haven't found out that the government lies. not yet anyway...

bravo damone.

Charlie Sheen and his chissel chin was meant to be a somewhat absurd way to broach the subject. Gotta say the the information on this blog seems a bit incestial and narrow focused (it is good for friends to interact even in this format). I know that this is not indicative of what those who participate here think about, but it does relate to what information people pay attention to on a regular basis. Even if people watch the local news every night, they get a very narrow amount of information, mostly local, and a clearly biased perspective.
In this age of information, many reputable professionals and even GOP insiders have issued statements and compelling documents/video evidence that DO NOT coincide with now official accounts. I say now, because industrious people have compiled former official accounts and timelines that have been modified.
I know, Damone, it is much easier not to consider the difficult and think that fiction is the only place where people have agendas and are willing to do grave things to reach the goal. Oh...just thought about human history and the repeated quest for power that tread upon people and their rights...guess fiction reflects reality - which is the key to any good fiction. It might be hard, even painful, but the question needs to be asked and the investigation that never really took place needs to be conducted. My rant is not meant to be an insult to anyone, especially Damone. In any event, I just suggest you take an hour or so out of a day and watch the video that is linked to in my first Sheen post which condenses some of the most compelling evidence into a compelling and palatable format.

Complacency just seems so much more plausible than Conspiracy.

My tinfoil hat brain thinks that the administration knew there was the potential for an attack, but thought it would be nothing worse than the first WTC bombing. their ineptitude is staggering, and only matched by the American public's limited attention span.

That is where I started...until I started doing my own extensive reading. I spent many a night going through those with hypotheses about the event that I would label kooky. Just perspective and interpretation with no factual evidence to support. Sometimes these are interesting and fun, but lack substance for consideration. Eventually, I found a few authors/researchers that were presenting documented factual evidence to support their scenarios. Since then I have noticed more people posting this evidence in more places, but it still required time and energy for individials to find and sift through the info. Being busy in the last six months, I had not followed the literature and discussions. Oddly enough, I was debating misconceptions of political ideologies and terrorism on a V for Vendetta site and came across a innocuous posting that only had the link I provided previously. I watched it and to my surprise, a student who actually started out to make a fictional story about a conspiracy about 9/11 had put together some of the most damning evidence that has been documented by many others. My most comprehensive read to date is Crossing the Rubicon by Michael Ruppert, a former LAPD Narcotics Detective. I don't claim there is absolute proof in these sources, but there is very compelling evidence that contradicts offical accounts and the interconnections to possible motives.
Most people would probably be bewildered to find that conspiracies are neither fictional nor scarce. For instance, there is evidence indicating that more than just a few corporations utilize fuzzy accounting and profit bolstering...this is illegal and therefore a conspiracy if more than one person decide to take this action. The very rich and now moderately rich use firms that advertise ways to hide income in order not to pay taxes, which is illegal. The interesting thing is that there does not need to be an extreme plot. There are plenty of people at various levels just wanting to serve people in power, no questions asked. The circle of people who would know the truth would not need to be large and if there was huge gain in terms of money and power, people will keep their mouths shut. There is a clear agenda and motive already spelled out by the people involved...most horrific events in history were fortold by those who actually perpetrated them. So just watch the video, then keep you eyes open. A good place to start reading is the Project for a New American Century...participants names have been changed on the pivotal document, but it provides a link to a motive.
Is this not fun?

The video is really compelling and thorough, as I just got through it at work (had to watch in snippets). Although is is tough to imagine, I don't doubt for a second that certain people in high powered positions could and would commit heinous crimes for the sake of personal profit. I know it happens all the time, both domestically and internationally, and that our government is not nearly as democratic as 50% of america would like to think it is.

The problem I have is that getting away with something this intricately planned would take more than I think this administration is capable of. Not because there is a lack of motive, but because the amount of coverup, red tape, and probability of mistakes is too great. Of course, maybe that explains why nothing else gets done on Capitol hill...they're too busy wagging the dog.

Good video regardless. I should read some of the material you suggested before I continue debating this point. I guess I just believe that with so many people needed to keep this concealed, there would have to be a slip-up somewhere. Some top level official would come out at some point and say it was done by our government. Or some survivor thought to be dead on one of the airlines would wander into his home town in america and the questions would start flying.

I am glad you took the step. Let me preface by saying I am no expert on this and am myself trying to find more info on some of the issues. I can also say that I don't know exactly what the conspiracy is even though the material I have read and watch give various scenarios, which really are linked in certain ways. I am not complete convinced who/what groups are in on the possible conspiracy. For instance, I have a problem with the current admin and the new more extreme conservative agenda that has abandoned many conservative ideals and tend to agree politically with independents and some democrats...not major party leaders, though. So...to pass time I listen to the radio in my office as I do research and plan class, sometimes I will be self-hating and listen to Limbaugh, I have a local religious station tuned even though I am the farthest thing removed from that station's point of view, and I listen to Air America (the liberal stuff). I think the liberal stations, because they are new, tend to be non-local, and are reactionary to the plethera of conservative talk radio, have more interesting topics and I enjoy how some tear down some of the most notable repulican pundits. This being said, I notice how none of these comentators never even broach the subject of 9/11, even some of the issues that arose with the 9/11 commission. This just gets me thinking that the agenda IS to polarize political, social, and cultural thinking so that we don't pay attention to the larger processes that shape our economic and social environments. Overall, I am just glad that some peeps and the more credible information is getting out. The question and process is important for us and needs to be undertaken even if we finally learn that it happened exactly as is has been presented.
So, even though I cannot stand Sheen's new sitcom, I gain respect for someone who indicates that they are willing to open up to new information and asks those questions that make you seem like a kook to many others. Stupid and simple analogy, but Columbus was considered a kook to many, Copernicus was a heretic, many of those who andvanced society through innovation were considered absolutely crazy. Hell, I don't believe Jesus is the son of God, but he was a rebel who stood up to two oppressive structures, Roman Empire and some of the rediculous laws of early Judaism. He was crucified for questioning the system.
Sorry...I am long-winded today and I brought down the room by abandoning humor. C'mon, Kyle, say something funny.
I enjoy thinking.

Visit this site - TOTALLY DIFFERENT SUBJECT.
http://www.powersof10.com
This website hit on a topic that I had been mentally playing around with for a year or so and finally laid out with a friend. I am a Geographer and a central concept of space is scale. I began thinking that our visual perception is based upon absorbing what we call the visible spectrum of light. So what we see, surfaces and whatnot, is base upon the wavelength of light that we can sense...so surfaces we see are based upon that visible spectrum. If we could sense other wavelengths then we would see through solid objects or not see certain objects....SO scale is a direct property of light and therefore a spectrum. Not that this is necessarily groundbreaking in itself...this is known, but this is a new was to consider our scalar existence. If we could sense much larger wavelengths, would we see a huge world exterior to our known universe or smaller wavelengths to see worlds within molecules. Still not the most groundbreaking since this has been pondered before. Now we step into the idea of dimensionality. Is the fourth, or one of many, dimensions scale? We are made up of primordial creatures that are theorized to have once existed individuality. Are these still seperate beings and we cannot see this due to our percieved scalar existence? Are human grouping seen as individual organisms at larger scalar dimensions of existance? Is everything dealing with dimensionality directly correlated to light and its properties? Einstien already proved that the dimension of time is directly related to light. So why not others.
THIS IS FUN!

and there is no such thing as too much time on your hands...don't sleep...and did I not just talk about light and time, travel at the speed of light. I got more on this also, but I can see that I should table it for another time.
