I used to shop for fancy men's clothes at a store in downtown Cincinnati called "House of Adam".
It was right by my apartment, and caught my eye because of all the great pinstripe suits in the window, often father/son matching combos. I definitely had to go when I saw James Brown's entourage exit one afternoon. If a clothing store is good enough for Mr. PleasePlease, it's good enough for me. The store also catered to visiting athletes playing the Reds or Bengals. When I did go in to buy stuff, I always made sure to check out the photo of John Kruk and Tony Gwynn from 1982. It was great, Kruk in aviator glasses with a brown horizontal striped terry cloth shirt, and Gwynn with jheri curls flowing from under his flat brimmed cap and wearing a track suit. I really wish there had been a shot that showed what they ended up getting after. It surely would have been fly.
