Arrrhtoberfest

In this southeastern area of Georgia, I don't see any advertisements for Octoberfest celebrations. There was a small town peanut fest that was just awful. However, this weekend is the Tybee Island Pirate Fest. This must be due to the lack of German brewing ancestry and the celebration of the large Pirate ancestry. Or is the common denomenator NOT celebration of culture, but an excuse for grown folk to pretend to be something they are not while getting sloppy drunk? Probably the latter.
And could somebody please buy my Pirate Grandpa...he's been on the market way to long.

We had a pirate fest here. I didn't make it, but my friend assured me that there were way too few drunken brawls. There were none! What the hell kind of pirate fest doesn't have somebody break a tankard on someone else's head? Or punch someone else in the balls?

The Priate Fest here was a bunch of bar flies and fantasy role playing geeks that get off on escaping from who they really are.

There were tons of Captain Jack Sparrows from the Pirates of the Carribean movies. I these movies are commercializing the REAL pirate lovers. These jacky come latelys are just taken the path of least resistance. There is no authenticity in pirate dress up anymore.

Which is why it is important to get ahead of the curve. Space Pirates. Next, Zombie Space Pirates. Then Zombie Cyborg Space Pirates. Followed by Zombie Monkey Cyborg Space Pirates.
