Politics for politics sake and to keep career polititians in office had stagnated any progress to achieving the lofty ideals that this country claims to uphold, but has never quite attained. If you are an intelligent man, I cannot believe that you do not know that Alito does bring a specific bias to his decisions, albeit most do, but his being to define liberties in a more confined manner. He has also shown his propensity to be accepted by the neoconservative movement in the past, but in the hearing did NOT acknowledge these connections, while in fact doing his best to distance himself from some of his past allegiances.
