"As far as I'm concerned", this blog is sorely lacking in World Cup chatter. Am I the only one who's life is being consumed by the beautiful game right now?
First let's talk of the world cup of Frisbee Ball, or Ultimate as insiders call it....it must be called this because it IS the ultimate sport. Human dogs.
The U.S. needs a change....midfield sorely lacking and new head coach would be nice. It all comes down to the fact that they cannot hold their own with more aggressive Euro style of soccer. They can manhandle South American teams, but get bullied by the rest of the world...especially that bitch-ass Reyna. I was hoping I would not have to watch his egg-shaped melon again. And why was it place upon Donavan as the second coming to take the U.S. to the holy land...he is not even utilized according to his strengths.
It is rediculous that Brazil has not lived up to potential, but still makes it look fairly easy to win. They can turn it on to score and then sit back and rely on defense and goalkeeping. Offense wins games, but defense wins championships. They will have trouble against France's defense. I, however, like how the pudgy Ronoldo has proven the critics wrong...to an extent. Watch him off the ball, he is truly just a target man up front. He is not very active off the ball anymore. Gotta call Italy overall due to a higher level of defense.
